In the textarea below you can write or paste a bit of Lilypond code to be parsed. Please note that only a subset of the Lilypond code is currently supported and that the parsing is much more strict. The parsing supports two modes: a simple mode and a complex mode. For a simple melody you can use notes and \relative. For anything more complex the use of \score and \new Staff is required.

In both modes the use of { and } is required to open and close contexts as well as \relative. In complex mode:

• one score block is allowed, plus one or more staffs.
• the parallel operators (<< and >>) are supported at score and staff level.
• The Voice context is supported, but only in the \new Voice {} syntax, the short hand is not supported
• Inside a voice context, \voiceOne and \voiceTwo are recognized, but ignored for the moment
• the use of \relative is only supported inside a staff
